Chief

Chief (pictured here with his new family) is the product of a "puppy mill" breeder in Iowa. He was purchased from a pet store in the Sacramento area and went to live in a house with several college students. His owner was not caring for him properly and he was hit by a car. His owner's roommate took over his care and paid all the vet bills. She (the owner's roommate) contacted Dalmatian Rescue on December 29, 1994 because she was moving in 2 days and could not keep Chief. Sue Mitchell, Rescue Chairperson, picked Chief up on December 30th.

After staying with Sue for one week, Chief went to his new home where he was given a very important job - giving all his love and attention to a 15 year old girl named Stephanie who had been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

This beautiful match was made possible through the efforts of the Greater Bay Area Make-a-Wish Foundation.
