Chief (pictured here with his new family) is the product of
a "puppy mill" breeder in Iowa. He was purchased from
a pet store in the Sacramento area and went to live in a house with
several college students. His owner was not caring for him properly
and he was hit by a car. His owner's roommate took over his care and
paid all the vet bills.
She (the owner's roommate) contacted Dalmatian Rescue on December 29, 1994
because she was moving in 2 days and could not keep Chief. Sue Mitchell,
Rescue Chairperson, picked Chief up on December 30th.
